Despite the defeat of ISIL in Iraq, the remnants of this terrorist group are still present in parts of Baghdad, the capital, and the provinces of Diyala, Nineveh, Salah al-Din, Kirkuk, and Al- Anbar.

Iran PressMiddle East: According to Iran Press, citing Al-Nashrah, the ISIS terrorist outfit, in a statement on Monday, claimed responsibility for the explosion that killed nine Iraqi policemen as a result of a bomb explosion on the way of their convoy near Kirkuk.

ISIL also announced in this statement that the forces of this terrorist outfit attacked a federal police patrol and detonated a bomb against them, and then continued to attack with heavy weapons and hand grenades.

This attack is considered one of the bloodiest attacks in recent months, which shows that ISIL still has the power to cause damage and carry out attacks.

Iraqi security forces continue to search, clear, and pursue ISIL remnants throughout the country to ensure that ISIL and its fugitive elements do not re-emerge.
