Iran Press/ America: Amir-Saeed Iravani made the remarks at the 8th anniversary of the remembrance of the victims of a terrorist attack against a state school in Peshawar, Pakistan.
“Iran and Pakistan, as two neighbors, have always shared sorrows and happiness, challenges and opportunities, and have both suffered from terrorism,” he said.
Reiterating that Iran’s fundamental stance is to condemn terrorism in any type and method, the Iranian envoy noted that the Islamic Republic is one of the main victims of terrorism in the world, with some 17,000 people martyred in terrorist operations over the past decades.
Iravani pointed out that Iran was one of the first countries to condemn the 2014 Peshawar school terrorist attack as it offered condolences to the bereaved family members and the Pakistani nation and government.
He also referred to a recent ISIS terrorist attack in Shah Cheragh Holy Shrine in Iran’s Shiraz in which 14 people were killed.
