Tehran (IP) - Iran's Ambassador to Tajikistan reported a 300% growth in the economic exchanges between the two countries in the past six months of 2022.

Iran PressIran news: In an interview with Iran Press on Saturday, Mohammad Taghi Saberi pointed to the 15th joint commission agreed upon during the recent visit of the Tajik President Emomali Rahmon, which was held on November 5 and 6, the most important part of which was the coordination for the private sector activities of the two countries.

The meeting was held in Tehran with the participation of the Iranian and Tajik high-ranking officials in the economic and financial sectors including banking, tourism and investment, culture, education, science and research, industry and new technologies, transportation, and energy.

Saberi also referred to the Iranian cultural weeks held in the two countries during the last two months: " After 12 years, we witnessed the cultural week of the Islamic Republic of Iran was in Dushanbe, Khujand, and Kolab.

The 15th Joint Economic Commission meeting of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Republic of Tajikistan is hosted by the Iranian Minister of Energy Ali Akbar Mehrabian and with the Tajikistan Minister of Energy and Water Resources Juma Daler in attendance.
