Tehran (IP) - Iran's Energy Minister said that Iran and Tajikistan are seeking to reach 500 million dollars of trade within the next two years.

Iran PressIran news: The 15th Joint Economic Commission meeting of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Republic of Tajikistan is hosted by the Iranian Minister of Energy, Ali Akbar Mehrabian, with Tajikistan's Minister of Energy and Water Resources, Juma Daler, in attendance.

Speaking at the 15th Joint Economic Commission meeting, Ali Akbar Mehrabian said: "Fortunately, Iran and Tajikistan's ties have grown promisingly during Raisi's administration."

Mehrabian stated: "This year, we are witnessing the growth of exchanges, which is expected to continue."

He said: "In order to continue the growth, the economic delegations between the two countries should become more active."

The Minister of Energy also noted that Iran and Tajikistan have so far held 14 commissions, and various documents have been signed, but during the last visit of Tajik officials to Iran, 17 cooperation documents were signed.
