Tehran (IP) - In response to the European Union and British sanctions against Iranian individuals and entities, the spokesman for Iran's Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly condemned the sanctions and described them as baseless, illegal, and interventionist actions.

Iran PressIran News: Nasser Kanani stated: "Apparently, the addiction to sanctions has destroyed Europe's rationality and seriousness, and with this wrong approach, Europe narrows its interactions."

Kanani stressed: "The Islamic Republic of Iran will respond to these measures by relying on its national power and using its unique experiences to face the imposed challenges."

The foreign ministers of 27 European countries, in a meeting held in Brussels on Monday, approved a series of new sanctions based on which added 29 individuals and three entities to the list of those subject to restrictive measures.

According to the report of the website of the European Union, the assets of the sanctioned individuals and entities were blocked, and the companies and citizens of the European Union were prohibited from financial transactions with them.

According to this website, sanctioned natural persons do not have the right to travel to European countries, and their entry or passage to these countries is prohibited.
