Gharibabadi:

New York(IP)-Vice-President of the Judiciary for International Affairs and Secretary of the I.R of Iran's High Council for Human Rights called human rights more politicized than ever before.

Iran PressAmerica: Kazem Gharibabadi, Vice President of International Affairs and Secretary of the Human Rights Staff of the Iranian Judiciary, has traveled to New York to participate in the meetings of the third committee of the General Assembly and bilateral and multilateral consultations.

He added: "The countries that consider themselves to be the flag bearers for the defense of human rights, specifically the United States and some Western countries, widely violate human rights in their territory or other countries, and these countries do not have the authority to be the flag bearers in the field of human rights."

Vice-President of the Judiciary for International Affairs said: "Recently, following the riots that have taken place in some Iranian cities, Western countries have once again raised the call to support the human rights of the Iranian people, while the lives of millions of the same people have been seriously affected by the unilateral sanctions of the United States."

He stated: "Thousands of innocent Iranian people lost their lives during the coronavirus pandemic due to the lack of vaccine and medicine for the illegal and cruel unilateral sanctions and the prevention of money transfers through financial channels."

Gharibabadi stated that the Islamic Republic of Iran has dedicated 17,000 victims of terror by the same terrorists who now live in European and American countries; he added: "How do these European and American countries claim to support the human rights of the Iranian people?"
