Tehran (IP)- The chorus of international opposition to the UK’s instrumental use of human rights and its violations continues to grow louder, the deputy chief of the Iranian Judiciary and secretary of the High Council for Human Rights tweeted.

Iran PressIran News:  By releasing a video of a answers questions session in the British Parliament about that country's policies towards the Middle East and Saudi Arabia, which London refers to as its most important trading partner, Kazem Gharibabadi wrote on his Twitter page: "However, it falls on deaf ears as Britain is hell-bent on concluding lucrative trade deals with those whose hands are stained with innocent people's blood."

Earlier, Kazem Gharibabadi said that the US uses sanctions as leverage to pressure the independent countries that oppose American international practices, the Iranian top human rights official said.


The Secretary of Iran's High Council for Human Rights, Kazem Gharibabadi, added that the sanctions left many adverse effects on the world's nations and deprived many civilians of their rights. 

Gharibabadi noted: "The US and some other countries fabricated concepts and standards of human rights and pressured other countries to follow those standards."

There were 30 countries on the US sanctions list, he emphasized. 

He recalled that the West, led by the US, exploit human rights as a political tool against other countries of the world and violates their rights, but meanwhile, they enjoy impunity.

The Iranian official highlighted the violation of human rights in the US: "The death rate in the American prisons is high; every 4,000 people lose their lives; these are the figures that the Americans themselves published." 

The deputy chief of the Iranian Judiciary and secretary of the High Council for Human Rights also referred to the US crime in the world, saying the Americans slaughtered 4 million people in Vietnam, over 200,000 in the nuclear attack on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, about 2 million in Iraq, etc.; a dark record of the US.  

The Secretary of Iran's High Council for Human Rights made the remarks on Sunday at the American Human Rights Conference attended by several high-ranking officials, including the head of the Parliament's Commission of National Security and Foreign Policy, the Deputy Attorney-General of the country, and the Deputy Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) for Legal Affairs.
