Earlier, Kazem Gharibabadi said that the US uses sanctions as leverage to pressure the independent countries that oppose American international practices, the Iranian top human rights official said.
The Secretary of Iran's High Council for Human Rights, Kazem Gharibabadi, added that the sanctions left many adverse effects on the world's nations and deprived many civilians of their rights.
Gharibabadi noted: "The US and some other countries fabricated concepts and standards of human rights and pressured other countries to follow those standards."
There were 30 countries on the US sanctions list, he emphasized.
He recalled that the West, led by the US, exploit human rights as a political tool against other countries of the world and violates their rights, but meanwhile, they enjoy impunity.
