Saveh (IP) – The first National Pomegranate Festival was held in the Historic Jameh Mosque of Saveh, the city of red rubies.

Iran PressIran News: About 50 stalls of the garden, agricultural, handicraft, and tourism products were opened at the National Saveh Pomegranate Festival to introduce the identity of the historical city to tourists.

Saveh is the capital of Iran's pomegranate plantations, with an annual production of 170,000 tons of pomegranates. 25% of the pomegranates produced in Saveh can be exported.

The stalls of the festival and exhibition showcased the products of this heavenly fruit, such as pomegranate juice, pomegranate paste, and different varieties of pomegranates.

The nomads of the Saveh region started producing and supplying nomadic products by erecting black nomadic tents.

The quality of Saveh pomegranate is a globally recognized brand, and its unique features such as taste, color, uniform and beautiful appearance, high quality, and durability have made this product popular in Iran and the world.

After India and China, the Islamic Republic of Iran is the world's third-largest producer of pomegranates.

The first National Pomegranate Festival was held for three days, from November 2 to 4, 2022, in the Historic Jameh Mosque of Saveh.
