Lebanon (IP) - The Leader of Lebanon's Hezbollah says the role of the US-backed ISIS is to target the people in Afghanistan, Iran, and the neighboring countries in the region.

Iran PressMiddle East: Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah delivered a speech on Thursday at the inauguration ceremony of 'Ardi' exhibition, which is organized by the Jihad al-Binaa Development Association.

Sayyed Nasrallah denounced the horrible crime committed by the ISIS terrorist group at a holy shrine in the Iranian city of Shiraz.

He condoled the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei, the Iranian officials and people, and the families of the martyrs, and prayed for the speedy recovery of the wounded.

Sayyed Nasrallah said: "This heinous crime must be an added reason for awareness and insight about the truth behind this terrorist group and its criminal ideology, as well as the sides backing it and using it, which are the successive US administrations."

He highlighted the sacrifices of the armies, the resistance movements, the Hashd al-Shaabi, and the peoples of the region against ISIS: "Hadn’t it been for the great Jihad, atop of its leaders was Hajj Qassem Soleimani, Hajj Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, and Sayyed Mustafa Badreddine, what happened in Shiraz would have been happening everyday in Iran, Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, and the region."

Hezbollah Secretary General then pointed to the recent unrest in Iran and stated that those who were running the riot in Iran were the same ones who sent those murderers to Shiraz and Zahedan, the US administration.

Mission accomplished

The Secretary General of Lebanon's Hezbollah declared the end of the mission of the Resistance on the level of the maritime boundary delimitation issue.

The Israeli regime had reported on Sunday the date for the signature of the maritime border demarcation agreement between Lebanon and the regime would be Thursday, October 27, 2022.

Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah appreciated all the Resistance men who remained round-the-clock alerted and told announced to them that the mission had been accomplished.

Regarding the maritime boundary delimitation issue, Nasrallah said it was a very big victory for Lebanon as a state, its people, and its resistance.

Sayyed Nasrallah said: "What was signed is a letter that an ‘agreement’ on defining the boundaries exists, and it was not an international treaty."

What happened was indirect negotiations; the Lebanese and the ‘Israeli’ delegations didn’t meet, and every side’s signature was placed on a separate paper, he elaborated more on the issue.

The Leader of Hezbollah said the Lebanese officials were keen not to take any action that might hint at the normalization of ties with the Israeli regime.

Sayyed Nasrallah noted: "The ‘Israeli’ enemy confessed that it didn’t achieve any security guarantees in the process of the maritime boundary delimitation issue."
