Tehran (IP) – "IRAN and IORA; Prospects and Opportunities" forum hosted by Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister for Economic Diplomacy kicked off in Tehran on Sunday.

Iran PressIran News: The one-day forum is underway at Iran's Institute for Political and International Studies (IPIS) and is attended by Iran's Deputy Minister for Economic Diplomacy Mehdi Safari, a number of ambassadors of member states, and economic and academic experts in Tehran.

The Indian Ocean Rim Association (IORA) was established in 1997. It is a dynamic inter-governmental organization aiming at boosting regional cooperation and sustainable development within the Indian Ocean region through its 23 member states and nine dialogue partners.

The member states are Australia, Bangladesh, India, Indonesia, Kenya, Malaysia, Oman, South Africa, Thailand and Iran.
