Tehran (IP)- Within the week ending on October 14, 2022, the Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME) witnessed a trade of 2,344,527 tonnes of commodities with a total trading value of nearly 521 million USD on its physical market.

Iran PressIran news: According to a report by the IME's International Affairs and PR, the exchange saw the trade of 1,772,000 tonnes of commodities valued at more than 271 million USD on its metals and minerals trading floor.

On this floor, the IME sold 1,135,950 tonnes of cement, 135,000 tonnes of iron ore, 265,715 tonnes of steel, 83,000 tonnes of sponge iron, 13,450 tonnes of zinc, 14,150 tonnes of aluminum, 12,738 tonnes of copper, 200 tonnes of molybdenum concentrate, 17 kg of gold bars and 50 truck.

Furthermore, the IME witnessed on both domestic and export rings of its oil and petrochemical trading floor 511,980 tonnes of commodities worth nearly 245 million USD.

Commodities traded on this floor included 95,050 tonnes of polymeric products, 148,000 tonnes of vacuum bottom, 50,000 tonnes of lube cut, 34,522 tonnes of chemicals, 16,700 tonnes of sulfur, 3,750 tonnes of base oil, 575 tonnes of insulation, 2,000 tonnes of slops wax and 159,083 tonnes of bitumen.

The IME also traded 59,643 tonnes of commodities in the same week on its side market.
