Mahallat (IP) – The ambassador of Cuba to Iran said that the sisterhood agreement between one of the cities of Cuba and Iran's Mahallat in Markazi Province would be signed soon.

Iran PressIran News: In an interview with Iran Press in Mahallat, Alberto Gonzalez Casals stated that the purpose of his trip to Mahallat was to check the capacity and capability of Iran's mining and stone, and the Markazi Province has many industrial capacities.

He announced Cuba's willingness to cooperate and operate with industrial and mining companies in the Markazi Province.

The Cuban envoy also noted that Iran's Persian carpet is known worldwide.

On Tuesday, the Cuban ambassador to Iran attended the opening ceremony of the 14th Iran International Stone Exhibition in Nimvar of Mahallat, Markazi Province, and visited various parts of the exhibition.

Ronald Tumwin, a Ugandan diplomat, also told Iran Press that the primary purpose of the trip to Markazi Province was to investigate economic opportunities and that there are good capacities for trade and investment between Uganda and Iran, especially with Markazi Province.

He said that economic and business opportunities in Markazi Province would be introduced to Uganda.
