Tehran (IP) - The fourth round of political talks between the directors of the Iranian and Indian foreign ministries was held on Sunday in Tehran, the Iranian Foreign Affairs Ministry senior official twitted.

Iran PressIran News: The aid to the Iranian Foreign Minister Rasoul Mousavi wrote in a tweet that the fourth round of political talks between the directors of the Iranian and Indian foreign ministries was held on Sunday in Tehran.

Mousavi said that the two sides discussed bilateral, regional, and international issues.

The top diplomat also reported the joint economic commission of Iran and India shortly in New Delhi.

Close ties with Iran are essential for the Indian government; India needs cooperation with Iran to maintain regional balance and protect its long-term security and economic interests, including in Afghanistan.

The Deputy Head of Iran's Port and Maritime Organization (PMO) reported on Saturday about the Indian official's trip to Iran to finalize the agreement reached over the Chabahar Port, southeastern Iran.

Jalil Eslami stated that 25% of the tripartite agreement with India had been implemented in Chabahar port.
