Yemen (IP) – The Saudi-led coalition has infringed the truce in Yemen 171 times over the past 24 hours, news sources reported Wednesday morning.

Iran PressMiddle East: The Saudi-led aggression coalition violated the UN-brokered ceasefire in Yemen by launching reconnaissance flights over the provinces of Ma’rib, Ta’iz, Sa'ada, Al Hudaydah, Dhale, Al Hajjah, Jizan, Najran and border fronts, according to Almasirah.

Accordingly, the coalition forces attacked the positions of the army forces and popular committees and the houses of Yemeni citizens in the provinces of Al Hudaydah, Ta’iz, Ma’rib, Hajjah, Saada, Jizan, Dhale and Najran with heavy artillery, rocket and mortar shells.

The coalition armed reconnaissance drones attacked the houses of Yemeni citizens in Al Bayda' Province.

Saudi Arabia, with the support of the United States, the UAE, and several other countries, has launched a military invasion of Yemen since March 2015, putting a land, sea, and air siege on the impoverished country.

Saudi Arabia’s warmongering in Yemen has so far killed hundreds of thousands of Yemenis, injured tens of thousands, and displaced millions.

The military aggression has also destroyed more than 85 percent of Yemen’s infrastructure, leaving the country severely short of food and medicine.

A United Nations-brokered truce came into force in April between the coalition and Ansarullah. The truce has been extended twice ever since.

Yemeni officials criticize the Saudi-led coalition for its insufficient implementation of the main components of the ceasefire.
