Tehran (IP)- The deputy petroleum minister for gas affairs announced that Iran's gas exports have increased by 19% in the first five months of the current calendar year, which began on March 21, compared to the same period last year.

Iran PressIran News: According to the National Iranian South Oil Company (NISOC), in the first five months of this year, the amount was an average of 70 million cubic meters per day, which is a 19% increase compared to the same period last year which was 59 mcm/d." 

The CEO of the National Iranian Gas Company (NIGC), Majid Chegeni, stated that gas exports to Iraq experienced a 20% growth in the calendar year 1400 (2021); he announced an increase in gas exports to Turkiye this year.

He also said: "With proper and effective cooperation, the collection of claims of NIGC from exports is about $1.6 billion and has brought us an increase of about 64% of the gas export revenues."
