Tehran (IP) – Spokesperson for the Iranian Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade says Iran’s trade with Russia has experienced a 31% increase in the first five months of the Iranian year.

Iran PressIran News: In a press briefing, Omid Ghalibaf referred to the condition of home appliance exports and stated that the export of home appliances had grown by 17% in the first five months of this [Iranian] year (starting from March 22, 2022).

He noted that according to plans, the exports of home appliances would rise to $440m by the yearend.

The spokesperson pointed out that Iran exports its household appliances to neighboring countries such as Iraq, Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan.

He referred to the presence of a Russian trade delegation in Tehran and said that other delegations from Chechnya and Tatarstan were also in Tehran.

The Iranian official added that Iran-Russia trade has grown by 31% in the first five months of the Iranian year.

He further said that in the recent Russian car show, a 700-million-dollar memorandum had been inked and the issue of importing Iranian-made car variants Shahin and Tara to Russia was also discussed.

He highlighted that no car is going to be imported from India and Brazil so far, underlining that Iranian companies have only negotiated with good European and Korean automobile companies.
