Iran Press/ Iran news: A Russian economic delegation consisting of 65 companies' representatives arrived in Tehran on Monday, the spokesperson for Iran's Ministry of Industries and Mines announced.
The Spokesman of Iran's Ministry of Industry, Mine, and Trade, Omid Ghalibaf, said on Monday that the Russian delegation, consisting of 100 business activists, kicked off their negotiation with the Iranian party.
The Iranian economic activists are scheduled to have 750 business meetings with the Russian delegation during their 3-day trip to Iran.
Ghalibaf said according to the Russian Export Center, more than 10 other business delegations would travel to Iran in the coming months.
According to him, food and agriculture (cereals), confectionery and chocolate, fishery, equipment and machinery for food and agriculture industries, medicine and medical equipment, glass and crystal, metal industries, telecommunication and radio systems, energy and recycling are the areas of trade cooperation of the Russian and Iranian business sectors.
The sending of the trade and business delegation was notified during a bilateral meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and his Iranian counterpart Ebrahim Raisi on the occasion of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Summit, held in Uzbekistan on September 15.
