Iran Press/Iran news: Mahsa Amini, a 22 years Iranian girl, fainted at the police department in Tehran on Tuesday after being taken for violation of dress codes along with some other women.
According to the footage of the Iran police CCTVs camera, Mahsa Amini, when talking with one of the police staff in the headquarters, suddenly faints and falls to the ground. She was immediately taken to hospital, but unfortunately, she died on Friday, September 16, 2022.
Police on Friday released CCTV footage of the moment she fell to the ground, dismissing allegations of any physical contact with the victim.
Police also said Amini lost her life due to heart failure.
In a phone call with the family of Mahsa Amini, President Ebrahim Raisi expressed sympathy to her family and wished them patience for their suffering.
"I learned about this incident during my trip to Uzbekistan and I immediately ordered my colleagues to investigate the matter specially," President Raisi told Mahsa Amini's family.
"I assure you that I will demand this incident from the responsible institutions so that its dimensions are clarified," he added.
In the phone call, which was made today at noon, the President emphasized that he considers all Iranian girls as his children, adding: "Your daughter is like my own daughter, and I feel that this incident happened to one of my loved ones. Please accept my condolences."
In this phone call, the family of Mahsa Amini, while thanking the President for his immediate order to deal with the incident and calling and expressing his sympathy, requested to follow up on the issue until its dimensions were clarified.
Immediately after Amini's death on Friday, Raisi ordered Iranian Interior Minister Ahmad Vahidi to investigate the details of the incident with "urgency and precision" and to submit a report on the results.
A special committee has been established to investigate different aspects of Amini's death.
Forensic experts examining case of women who collapsed at police station
Speaking to reporters on Saturday, Vahidi said the country's forensic experts are looking into the case.
"Forensic examinations are underway. These examinations are profound, painstaking and comprehensive. Therefore, we must wait and see until forensic experts reach a conclusion and present their final opinion," the minister added.
He also rejected rumors that the woman had been beaten, saying relevant authorities have reported no assault and battery in this case.
"In addition, there were several female police officers present at the scene while there was no baton to be used for beating," the minister added.
Vahidi noted that after she fell to the ground, Amini was taken to the nearest hospital to be treated by specialist doctors, and "her treatment was done rapidly and according to due procedures."
