Iran Press/Iran news: Nasser Kanaani wrote on Friday in his Instagram post on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the crimes committed by the Zionist regime against the Palestinian refugees in the Sabra and Shatila camps: "Today, September 16, forty years have passed since the start of the three-day heinous and unimaginable massacre of Palestinian refugees in the Sabra and Shatila camps in the south of Beirut by the bloodthirsty Zionist regime and its accomplices. This was not the first crime of this fake regime, nor is it the last."

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesperson pointed out: "The foundation of the Zionist apartheid regime is based on aggression, crime, and gross violations of international laws and human rights and will always threaten international peace and security."

During the Zionist regime's crime in Sabra and Shatila, many of their residents, Both men and women, children, and the elderly, were martyred; most were Palestinian, and some were Lebanese.

At that time, the number of martyrs of this crime was announced as 3,500 to 5,000 people out of a total of 20,000 residents of the Sabra and Shatila camps.

This crime started after the Zionist army under the command of Ariel Sharon, the then war minister of this regime, and Raphael Eitan, former Chief of Staff of the Israel Defense Forces, surrounded these two camps and killed the residents of this camp with cold weapons and other things, away from the eyes of mass media.
