Tehran (IP) - Advisor to Iran's Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance (MoCIG) and Head of Ministerial Office said that the country has been known for its poetry, literature and civilization in the world.

Iran PressIran News: Speaking in a conference on Wednesday on the occasion of 'National Day of Persian Poetry and Literature,' and commemorating the Iranian contemporary poet 'Mohammad-Hossein Behjat-Tabrizi,' aka 'Shahriar,' Mahmoud Shaloei stated: "Today, we must preserve the Persian language and native dialects duly through global communication."

He emphasized: "We need public assistance to preserve the Persian language, and fortunately, the coordination has been formed both in the capital of the country, Tehran, and in other provinces."

He stated: "It is necessary for us not to allow the Persian language to be changed with foreign words in order to protect it."

The official announced the special Shahriar Day ceremony would be held in Tehran's Milad Tower on September 18, 2022, adding: "Tabriz, also will commemorate this national day as well."
