Iran Press/ Iran News: In response to Iran Press on Tuesday, Masoud Setayshi stated that in a meeting with his Azerbaijani counterpart Kamran Aliyev in Tehran on August 31, 2022, various points were discussed, including swapping prisoners serving time in Azerbaijan or Iran.
He further said the two sides also stressed the importance of enhancing cooperation between the neighboring countries.
They talked about the work done in the justice field, the effective links between the Ministries of Justice of the two countries, and the projects implemented in both countries to improve the penitentiary system, Setayeshi added.

The Judiciary spokesman also said that they exchanged views on expanding cooperation between the judiciary of the two countries, increasing efforts to resolve legal issues, as well as the exchange of prisoners, the continuation of visits and meetings, legal assistance, and other issues.
Referring to the issues that have risen for the border guards and their inappropriate treatment of others, especially the transit drivers, he concluded: "Discussions were held, and it was decided to solve the problems through cooperation.
