Tehran (IP)- Iran's president will travel to Tashkent on an official visit on September 14 at the invitation of the President of Uzbekistan and will attend the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit in Samarkand while full membership of Iran in the organization is on summit's agenda.

Iran PressIran news: On September 17, 2021, The leaders of the eight-member states of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization announced their agreement with the change of the membership of the Islamic Republic of Iran from an observer member to a full member and signed the relevant documents.

Ebrahim Raisi will visit Tashkent for three days at the invitation of Uzbekistan President Shaukat Mirzayev. 

The two presidents will examine the further development and strengthening of multilateral relations between the two countries and pay special attention to expanding practical cooperation in trade, innovation, transportation, energy, tourism, and other fields.

Accordingly, several joint documents will be signed at the end of these meetings.

On Thursday, September 15, Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi will attend the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Summit in Samarkand.
