Baghdad (IP) - The Minister of Interior of the Islamic Republic of Iran met with his Iraqi counterpart in Baghdad and discussed Arbaeen Hosseini's ceremony.

Iran PressMiddle East: The Minister of Interior of the Islamic Republic of Iran Ahmad Vahidi met with his Iraqi counterpart, Uthman al -Ghanami  on Thursday.

On his arrival in Iraq, the Minister of Interior also paid tribute to the martyrs of the Resistance Martyr Qasim Soleimani and Abu Mahdi al –Muhandis.

September 17 coincides with the 40th day of martyrdom of Imam Hussein (AS), the third Shia Imam and his beloved companions in the desert of Karbala, and pilgrims arrived in Karbala in the south of Arbaeen on this day to mourn and pay tribute to the bravery and sacrifices of Imam Hussein and his companions.

The Minister of Interior traveled to Iraq to meet with Iraqi officials to facilitate the visit of Iranian pilgrims.

The Iranian Interior Minister met with Iraqi counterpart to examine the condition of Arbaeen pilgrims and coordinate with Iraqi officials.
