Mazandaran (IP) - The Director General of Crisis Management of Mazandaran province said that the fire started in a part of the forest of the province due to climatic change and soaring temperatures.

Iran PressIran news: Hossein Ali Mohammadi Shirkalaei, Director General of Crisis Management of Mazandaran Governorate, in an interview with IranPress, stated that the fire in Kelardasht and Savad Kouh Northern forests had been contained, but the fire is still going on to some areas in the Haft Khal Kiasar.

Mohammadi Shirkolaei added that Mazandaran province rescue forces are extinguishing the fire in the forest areas of Haft Khal Kiasar with three helicopters, and it will be contained soon.

The Director General of Crisis Management of Mazandaran emphasized that the speed of the wind flow affected the fire control operation in the forests of the Haft Khal Kiasar region.

Mazandaran province in northern Iran has about 1,300,000 hectares of forest lands, and the fire has damaged 2 and a half hectares of them.
