Tehran (IP) - On the first day of the 10th official meeting, the assembly of experts' speaker in his pre agenda speech said that economy and livelihood are still the priority of the people, and the way out of the problems is to follow the recommendations of the leader.

Iran PressIran news: Referring to the Arbaeen March, Ahmad Jannati said: “This movement is a manifestation of the people’s love for Imam Hussein, and this gathering shows that Imam Hussein’s thoughts are becoming more popular every day.”

Appreciating the efforts of President Raisi’s administration last year, he said: “The administration was able to succeed in some areas and highlight the ideals of Imam Khomeini, which we hope will continue.”

With regard to the guidelines of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Jannati noted that the recommendation was not to limit foreign policy to the nuclear issue, and this caused many contacts with the neighbors, plus foreign trade and transit grew significantly.

“The Leader also underlined that we should not postpone the country’s affairs for negotiations to lift sanctions and must rely on internal capacities,” he added.

Jannati pointed out that Iran would proceed on the path of growth and development of all institutions in all fields following the Leader’s recommendations.

The Iranian official said that eight years of Sacred Defense, economic sanctions, and assassination of nuclear scientists had been big events, each of which was enough to destroy the identity of the nation; adding: “But relying on leadership, we passed through these crises and today we are witnessing the growth and progress of the country.” 

According to the announcement of Ahmad Khatami, member of the presiding board, the Assembly of  Experts has the amendment of the election law on the agenda.

Iran’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, is going to give a speech as a guest about the process of negotiations to lift sanctions, foreign policy and relations with neighbors.
