Iraqi F-16 warplanes carried out two air strikes on Friday, targeting a den of ISIS terrorist remnants in the Al-Jazeera operations sector.

Iran PressMiddle East: Iraq's Security Media Cell said in a statement that the strikes and joint professional operations between the security units continue to destroy the terrorists' hideouts and bring just retribution from them.

"According to accurate intelligence information from the heroes in the National Intelligence Service, an important den for ISIS terrorist gangs targetted near Wadi "Abu Muqanir" north of the Jabab area within the sector of the Al-Jazeera Operations Command," the statement said.

The statement added, "The operation came after units of the Seventh Division and a detachment of the National Intelligence Service in coordination with the Joint Operations Command, besieged this den."

"These two strikes resulted in the destruction of the hideout and the killing of terrorist elements," the statement concluded.
