Tehran (IP) - A delegation from Qatar's Ministry of Foreign Affairs headed by Assistant Foreign Minister for Regional Affairs Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulaziz bin Saleh Al Khulaifi met Iran's Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian late on Saturday.

Iran PressIran news: In this meeting, the two sides discussed the relations between Tehran and Doha.

Amirabdollahian emphasized the necessity of implementing the agreements made during the Iranian President's visit to Doha and the Emir of Qatar's visit to Tehran.

Al Khulaifi, for his part, also emphasized his government's will to expand relations with Iran by conveying the greetings of Qatar's foreign minister.

"The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Hossein Amirabdollahian, received a written message from  Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani, pertaining to bilateral relations between the two countries and ways to support and develop them," Qatar News Agency (QNA) announced.

According to QNA, the message was delivered by The Assistant Foreign Minister for Regional Affairs Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulaziz bin Saleh Al Khulaifi during his meeting today in Tehran with the Iranian Minister of Foreign Affairs.

The Qatari diplomat also met Ali Bagheri Kani, the Political Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs.
