Athens (IP) - The Iranian embassy in Athens announced that the transfer of stolen Iranian oil to the Lana ship in Greek waters is underway and the ship will soon leave for Iran with the full cargo of oil.

Iran PressEurope: According to Iran Press news agency, the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Athens announced on Twitter on Friday evening: "The operation of transferring stolen Iranian oil to the Lana ship (Iranian oil carrier) is underway in Greek waters, and the ship will soon leave for Iran with the full cargo of oil."

It should be noted that on Farvardin 26 (April 15), Greece seized a Russian oil tanker (Pegas, which was later renamed to Lana) carrying Iranian oil, which was sailing under the Iranian flag, in its coastal waters, and according to the latest reports, the oil cargo was delivered to an American tanker for transportation to America.

This action of the Greek government on Wednesday, the 4th of Khordad (May 25), brought the charge d'affaires of this country in Tehran to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and he was strongly protested.

Earlier, the Iranian embassy in Greece announced that the Supreme Court of Greece ruled in favor of Iran in the appeal court and the operation to return the stolen Iranian oil will begin soon.
