Iran Press/ Europe: On May 25 this year, at the request of the United States, Greece seized the Russian oil tanker Lana, which was carrying 700,000 barrels of Iranian oil.
Following this action, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran summoned the Greek Chargé d'Affaires in Tehran and warned that "punitive measures" would be taken against Athens by communicating Tehran's strong protest.
Government sources in Greece said that it is expected that the tanker Lana, anchored in the port of Piraeus, this week, according to the ruling of the Greek Supreme Court, will take back part of its cargo, which the United States confiscated. It is going to head back to Iran.

After an appeal by an Iranian company on June 7, a Greek judicial panel overturned an initial court ruling that allowed the US to seize the cargo, clearing the way for Lana to recover the cargo that had been transferred to the US tanker Ice Energy.
A Greek government official, who asked not to be named due to the sensitivity of the issue, said that this judgment of the Greek Supreme Court was adopted to satisfy the Iranian government.
A spokesperson of the Greek government confirmed this sentence, but did not comment on this sentence of the Greek court.
