Konya (IP) -The Iranian wrestler defeated his second opponent in the freestyle wrestling competitions and became a finalist in the Solidarity Games of Islamic Countries - Konya 2021.

Iran PressIran news: Alireza Karimi, the representative of Iran's freestyle wrestling in 86 kg category, faced Algeria's Banfar Fateh in his second match; Karimi defeated his opponent in less than two minutes.

Karimi also hit his Kyrgyz opponent "Karibayev" in his first match, knocking him out.

Wrestler Mojtaba Gileij goes into the semi-finals. 

Iran's 97 kg freestyle wrestling representative reached the Islamic Countries Solidarity Games' semi-finals.

Mojtaba Goleij, Iran's 97 kg freestyle wrestler, won his second match against Mahmed Bekov from Tajikistan, knocking him out, and went to the semi-finals.

Gileij defeated his opponent 10-0.

In his first match, Goleij also defeated Bais Kobatov from Kyrgyzstan 10-0.

In this games,three representatives of Iran's swimming ascended the final competition in the 100-meter backstroke category.

At the end of the para swimming competition of the Islamic Games, Shahin Izdiyar, Abolfazl Zarif, and Sina Dighminejad reached the finals.
