Iran Press/ Europe: Tasua and Ashura are respectively the ninth and tenth day of the month of Muharram.
Tasua is dedicated to Hazrat Abbas, Imam Hussain's (AS) brother, who was martyred in the Karbala battle as he went to bring water for the thirsty children of Imam Hussein (AS).

On this day, many places, especially in Iran and Iraq, are covered with black-clad people who mourn Imam Hussein.
Imam Hussein was martyred along with 72 of his companions during a last-stand battle of Karbala against the tyrant of the time, Yazid I, more than thirteen centuries ago.
The martyrdom of Imam Hussein has turned into a symbol of righteous revolt and social and political reform.
