Shiraz (IP) - Shahcheragh Shrine in Shiraz, southern Iran, hosted the lovers of Imam Hussein (AS), who mourned for him last night on Saturday.

Iran PressIran news: The mourners were coming in groups in the holy shrine's court, beating their chests to show their grief. 

Along the route leading to Shahcheragh Shrine were settled stations hosting the mourning people with cool water and other drinks.

Today (Sunday) coincides with the ninth day of Muharram (Tasua) 1444 AH (August 7, 2022). On this day, many places in Iran are covered with black banners, and people mourn Imam Hussain (AS).

Tasua and Ashura are respectively the ninth and tenth day of Muharram month' the former is dedicated to Hazrat Abbas, Imam Hussain's (AS) brother, who was martyred in the Karbala battle as he went to bring water for the thirsty children of Imam Hussain (AS).
