An adviser to the Iranian negotiating team in Vienna talks, to revive the Iranian nuclear deal 2015 known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), said that some progress has been made, but caution must be maintained.

Iran PressEurope: Mohammad Marandi said to Al Mayadeen, "What is important for Iran is to see progress, and as long as that progress continues, negotiations will continue since what concerns the Iranians is reaching a fair agreement."

Marandi added that he didn't know if there would be an agreement, but "thinks the chances of reaching it are 50 percent."

He stated that the issue of the IRGC was not a condition in the negotiations, but the Western media inflated it.
