Vienna (IP) - The spokesman of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) says that the Vienna negotiations to revive the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) are not bad and are continuing.

Iran PressEurope: "It is not bad," Behrouz Kamalvandi said on Saturday in response to an IranPress reporter a few minutes before entering the Coburg Vienna hotel.

Kamalvandi said: "We are negotiating."

He told another reporter about the settlement of the safeguards-related issue: "we are yet talking about that."

The negotiations focused on lifting the oppressive and illegal sanctions against the Islamic Republic of Iran. The talks have experienced progress due to the initiatives of Iran's negotiating team. Still, the "Joe Biden" administration's procrastination to compensate for the previous US government's illegal actions and the continuation of the "Maximum Pressure Campaign" has led to doubts about the seriousness of the country's return to JCPOA. It has led to the prolongation of the process of talks.

As a responsible country, the Islamic Republic of Iran has stated so many times that considering that the United States was the party that violated the JCPOA, it is Washington that should return to the agreement by lifting sanctions, and it is necessary to verify the implementation of US obligations.
