Tehran (IP)- On the recommendation of the Iranian Foreign Minister and the approval of the President, Seyed Khalil Sadati was appointed as the new ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Sierra Leone.

Iran PressIran news: Seyed Khalil Sadati met with Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian ahead of his departure to Sierra Leone and submitted the working plan for his ambassadorial tenure in the country to the foreign minister.

During the meeting, Amirabdollahian offered his advice and guidelines to be acted upon during the work of Iran’s new ambassador to Sierra Leone.

The following are the positions Sadati has previously held:

- Consultant to the Chair of the Islamic Culture and Communication Organization

- Director of the Department of Parliamentary Affairs of the Foreign Ministry

- The ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Guinea and Guinea-Bissau

- Senior expert on Iraq’s affairs- Director General for Africa-Arab affairs of Ahl-ul-Bayt World Assembly
