Tehran (IP) - Nejad Jahani, a senior official at the Islamic Republic of Iran's Crisis Management Organization, said that according to the latest statistics, 69 people had lost their lives in recent floods in the country which started on July 23.

Iran PressIran news: Out of 69 dead, 6 are Iraqi citizens. Also, 45 people have gone missing in recent floods, 3 of them are Iraqis.

Twenty-four provinces of the country were affected by floods.

Tehran province had the most human casualties in flood, followed by Kerman, Yazd, Mazandaran, Markazi, Sistan and Baluchestan, and Lorestan provinces.

During the floods, 20,000 houses were also destroyed.
