The Head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran said on Wednesday that the operation to construct a research reactor at the Isfahan nuclear site will begin in the coming weeks.

Iran PressIran News: Mohammad Eslami made the announcement during a visit to the Uranium Conversion Facility (UCF) of the Isfahan site.

He said that the plan to construct the research reactor at the site is totally domestic and will help complete the chain of nuclear-powered electricity production in Iran.

The AEOI chief also referred to the West’s accusations leveled against the Islamic Republic over its peaceful nuclear program in the past 20 years.

He said that the allegations have been made despite the fact that the International Atomic Energy Agency has during its inspections admitted that Iran has no undeclared measures.

Eslami said that the allegations continue to be made against Iran with the aim of wasting time, adding that the IAEA is still keeping its safeguards supervision on the country’s nuclear facilities.
