Tehran (IP) - Referring to the increase in the number of coronavirus patients and the change in the colors of the cities in recent days, the Iranian President said that it is necessary to avoid normalization and fully comply with the health guidelines to prevent the spread of the new variant.

Iran PressIran News: Speaking on Saturday morning in the meeting of the National Task Force Against Coronavirus, Ebrahim Raisi referred to the new conditions of the spread of coronavirus in the country and said: "All people should pay special attention to all health protocols and social distancing rules while wearing masks in public places, especially during Muharram ceremonies."

Raisi also emphasized the injection of a reminder dose of the vaccine and urged the Ministry of Health to prioritize providing the required vaccine and increasing the number of vaccination centers to provide citizens with better services.

The Iranian President also referred to the increase in foreign trips and pilgrimages to shrines during the days of Muharram and Arba'een and considered it necessary to conduct tests at entry points to prevent the new variant of the disease from entering the country.

Raisi expressed his gratitude to those involved in the Martyr Soleimani project throughout the country, called the implementation of this project successful in the fields of education, prevention, and screening, and emphasized the need to secure the necessary funds in this field and to continue its implementation.

In another part of his speech, Raisi emphasized that schools and universities will be reopened on time and stated: "All requirements for the timely reopening of educational centers should be taken into account.

"No excuse should prevent you from holding in-person classes," the Iranian President said.
