London (IP) - Britain plans to send a fleet of its nuclear submarines to Australia to curb China's influence.

Iran PressIran News:  According to the Daily Mail, Admiral Sir Tony Radakin, the Chief of the General Staff of the British Armed Forces, is going to travel to Sydney next week to participate in a maritime conference and negotiate with the authorities of this country about the deployment of a fleet of nuclear submarines in Australia's territorial waters.

The western newspaper called the deployment of the British nuclear submarine fleet in Australia as part of the recent security agreement between Australia, the United States, and Britain.

British submarines will be stationed on Australia's west coast in Perth for maritime patrols by 2024. British and Australian crews will jointly manage these submarines.

The security treaty between Britain, the United States, and Australia was signed in September 2021, according to which at least eight nuclear submarines are to be provided to Canberra.

Russia and China have expressed concern about the signing of this security agreement and have warned that this agreement could lead to the collapse of the nuclear non-proliferation system.
