Tehran (IP) - Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Russian President Vladimir Putin met for the 7th Trilateral Astana Summit Meeting to discuss the latest developments in Syria.

Iran PressIran news: The three presidents held a meeting here in the Iranian capital Tehran on Tuesday, discussing the latest developments in Syria and the fight against the terror groups, particularly ISIS.

The three sides will hold a press conference following the meeting. 

Putin and Erdogan also met with the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei.

Since January 2017, Moscow, Tehran, and Ankara have been mediating peace negotiations between representatives of the Syrian government and opposition groups in a series of talks held in the Kazakh capital Astana (now named Nur-Sultan) and other places, including Sochi.
