As the Astana peace process is going to be held tomorrow, the Russian news agency Sputnik announced that the Syrian Foreign Minister visits Tehran on Tuesday.

Iran PressMiddle East: The Syrian Foreign Minister, Faisal Mekdad will travel to Tehran at the same time as the 7th meeting of the Astana process summit is held in Tehran.

The 7th meeting of the Astana process is scheduled to be held in Tehran tomorrow (Tuesday) with the presence of the presidents of the three countries of Iran, Russia and Turkey.

According to Iran Press News Agency, Sputnik announced on Monday that Faisal Al-Mekdad will visit the capital of the Islamic Republic of Iran and noted that the Syrian Foreign Minister will consult with the Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran regarding bilateral and regional issues in Tehran.

Hossein Amirabdollahian, Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran, stated on Twitter on Monday night, referring to the meetings held by the heads of Iran, Turkey, and Russia in Tehran, that the Islamic Republic of Iran is the center of dynamic diplomacy.

Iran's top diplomat also said that the return of Syrian refugees to their homes and cities and establishing peace, stability and security in Syria are among the issues on the agenda of the Astana process meeting in Tehran.

The Astana talks started in January 2017 with the initiative of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the cooperation of Russia and Turkey, with the aim of establishing peace in Syria.

Iran, Turkey and Russia, as guarantors of the Astana process, are trying to solve the Syrian crisis.

The crisis in Syria has started in 2011 with the massive invasion of terrorist groups supported by Saudi Arabia, America and their allies to change the equations of the region in favor of the Zionist regime.
