Muscat (IP) - The Iranian ambassador in Muscat announced the visit of the commander of Oman's navy to Tehran.

Iran PressMiddle East: The relations between Iran and Oman in recent decades, despite the tensions in the Persian Gulf and the American effort to intensify Iranophobia, have always been based on mutual respect and interests.

Omani officials believe that close relations with Iran are based on realism and consider Iran a great neighbor. The two countries do not have any territorial and border disputes with each other. Iran's support for Oman has been positively and permanently imprinted in Oman's historical memory.

Iran's Ambassador to Oman, Ali Najafi, said: "Commander of Royal Navy of Oman Rear-Admiral Saif Nasser Mohsen al-Rahbi left Muscat for Tehran this morning (Saturday) for an official visit."

Najafi noted that the Omani commander is going to meet with Iranian officials during this trip.
