Iran Press/ Iran News: The country's all Hajj pilgrims will return before the beginning of the lunar Hijri month of Muharram.
This year, 39,600 Iranian pilgrims will perform Hajj. The first batch of pilgrims from Iran left the country on Sunday through Tehran's Imam Khomeini International Airport.
This year's Hajj comes after a two-year interruption brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic. It also comes again of diplomatic talks between Iran and Saudi Arabia that facilitated the Hajj for Iranian citizens.
One of the five pillars of Islam, the Hajj, must be undertaken by all Muslims who have the means at least once in their lives.
The Hajj consists of a series of religious rites completed over five days in Islam's holiest city, Mecca, and surrounding areas of western Saudi Arabia.
CEO of Imam Khomeini airport in an exclusive interview with Iran Press said: Pilgrims' return operations will be carried out by 165 flights by Iran, of which 115 flights will be made from the country's airports and 50 other flights will be made from Imam Khomeini Airport.
Saeed Chalandari further stated that all the necessary measures have been taken to receive pilgrims quickly and all services are available for them.
The official also warns people of any gathering to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.
He noted that all the pilgrims will leave Saudi Arabia till July 30, 2o22.
