Tehran (IP) - Within the week ending on July 8, 2022, the IME played host to trading 2,466,612 tonnes of commodities worth almost 604 million USD, logging a growth of 7% in volume traded compared with the week before that.

Iran PressIran news: According to an IME's, Iran Mercantile Exchange, International Affairs and PR report, the exchange sold on its metals and minerals trading floor 2,235,000 tonnes of commodities valued at more than 423 million USD.

Items traded on this floor included 1,186,000 tonnes of cement, 443,619 tonnes of steel, 520,000 tonnes of iron ore, 73,000 tonnes of sponge iron, 1,105 tonnes of zinc, 8,300 tonnes of aluminum, 5,000 tonnes of copper, 190 tonnes of molybdenum concentrate, 30 tonnes of precious metals concentrate and 24 kg of gold bars.

Based on this report, the IME witnessed on both domestic and export rings of its oil and petrochemical trading floor 225,317 tonnes of commodities worth almost 178 million USD.

The IME's customers purchased on this floor 84,665 tonnes of polymeric products, 7,150 tonnes of vacuum bottom, 29,000 tonnes of lube cut, 40,907 tonnes of chemicals, 1,295 tonnes of sulfur, 3,609 tonnes of base oil, 59,195 tonnes of bitumen and 330 tonnes of insulation.

Last was the IME's side market, where the exchange-traded 5,752 tonnes of commodities.
