Tehran (IP) - In line with the Leader of the Islamic Revolution's stress on expanding the sea economy, the head of Iran's Ports and Maritime Organization emphasized that the organization has been taking steps to increase maritime and trade ties by preparing ports and ships which are carrying both goods and passengers.

Iran PressIran News: Ali-Akbar Safaei told Iran Press on Monday: "Ports and Maritime Organization of Iran has been taking various steps to increase maritime and trade ties by preparing ports and ships which are carrying both goods and passengers."

He highlighted that Iran has engaged in talks with Qatar, Oman, Russia, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Afghanistan, Pakistan, and India to remove the barriers in the way of maritime trade.
