Tehran (IP) - In his address in the open session of Iran Parliament on Wednesday, Iranian Parliament speaker congratulated the National Day of Guilds.

Iran PressIran News: June 22 is designated as the Day of Guilds in the Iranian national calendar, and every year on this day, trade union assemblies across the country, union officials, and directors of the Ministry of Commerce come together to discuss trade union issues.

Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf noted: "I congratulate the National Day of Guilds to those who work in guilds and I commemorate the martyrs of the guilds, who sacrificed their lives and gave good support in various fields, especially during the sacred defense era.

Qalibaf said: "Today, with more than three million entrepreneurs and investors and with more than 9 million people employed in the country, the guilds are the forerunner in the economic front, and we, along with parliamentarians, as the Parliament, provide the necessary support to them in the manufacture sector as well as technical and engineering services.

Qalibaf also congratulated the anniversary of the establishment of the Islamic Development Organization, which was formed in 1981 by order of Imam Khomeini (May his soul rest in peace).

Today Iran is a strategic power: MP

An Iranian Parliament member said: "Iran's strategic power has been formed in the world, and it has forced the enemies to treat Iran in a dialogue and interaction with respect."

Speaking in today's open session of Iran's Parliament, Mohammad Reza Sabbaghian pointed out: "The greatest anger of our enemies and a large part of today's sanctions is due to Iran's defense power, as well as the existence of stability and lasting security of the country."
