During the meeting of the head of the Trade Development Organization of Iran with the aide of the President of Russia, the expansion of trade and economic relations between the two countries was emphasized.

Iran PressEurope:  Deputy Iranian Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade and head of Iran's Trade Development Organization, met with the assistant to the Russian President on Thursday to stress Iran's readiness to conclude long-term contracts for the export of fruit and vegetable with the Iran-Russia Chamber of Commerce to stabilize and expand exports.

The meeting, held on the sidelines of the 25th St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, focused on Iran-Russia cooperation in expanding cooperation on issues such as automotive, shipping, shipbuilding, activating the North-South corridor, banking cooperation and currency exchanges, and joint productions.

The Russian presidential aide also welcomed the proposal of the head of the Trade Development Organization of Iran to hold joint exhibitions between Iranian and Russian companies. He added that "the Russian car industry is ready to cooperate with Iran, and Iran can be Russia's trading partner in the car market." 219
