IP- Russia's envoy to International Atomic Energy Agency still hopes to revive JCPOA nuclear deal after the proposed US-European troika resolution against Iran which face strong reaction from Iran.

Iran PressEurope: The proposed US-European troika resolution against Iran was adopted Wednesday at a quarterly meeting of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Board of Governors.

"Chances always exist,"  Mikhail Ulyanov tweeted.

"It would be definitely premature to say that the deal is dead," the tweet reads.

"It [JCPOA] is in the state of stalemate which most likely will continue for a certain period of time after the adoption of the not well thought out and counterproductive resolution on Iran by the IAEA BoG," the Russian diplomat said in a comment to a tweet that asked him 'How do you assess the chances of restoring the agreement at this point ambassador?'.

Iranian President Ebrahim Raisis, in a reaction to the Anti-Iranian International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Board of Governors resolution, said that Iran would not withdraw one step from its stance in nuclear negotiations and that Western countries should consider Iran's rights in the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action(JCPOA).

This is the second anti-Iranian resolution issued under pressure by Israeli by the International IAEA BoG after the implementation of the JCPOA.

In a tweet early Thursday, Foreign Ministry Spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh strongly condemned the resolution by the International Atomic Energy Agency's Board of Governors against Iran's peaceful nuclear energy and said that US-E3 put their shortsighted agenda ahead of IAEA's credibility.
