Iran Press/ Europe: The proposed US-European troika resolution against Iran was adopted Wednesday at a quarterly meeting of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Board of Governors, despite strong opposition from China and Russia.
In response to the International Atomic Energy Agency's anti-Iranian resolution on Thursday morning, Saeed Khatibzadeh in his tweet said: "The United States and three European countries have put their short-sighted intentions beyond the credibility of the IAEA in an effort to advance a resolution resulting from miscalculation and misinformation against a country with the most transparent peaceful nuclear program in the world."
Iran's delegate to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Mohammad Reza Ghaebi, strongly condemned on Wednesday the decision made by the agency's Board of Governors to adopt the resolution drafted by the US and the E3 that demands more "transparency and cooperation" from Iran.
Iran's delegation said that it will pursue the appropriate measures in response, noting that Iran has the right to reconsider its policy and behavior towards the agency, stressing that this resolution adopted by the IAEA is a heavy blow to the agency's credibility.
Ghaebi asserted that this resolution only serves unjust political goals by some of the members and that the allegations present in the Director-General's report on the locations in question in Iran are based on lies propagated by the Israeli regime.
To call on Iran to cooperate after this resolution, Ghaebi said, is a desperate and meaningless step. He further warned that this resolution does not encourage Iran to enhance its cooperation with it.
The Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) released a statement on Wednesday, wherein it announced that Tehran has made the decision to remove two of the IAEA's cameras from a nuclear facility. 219
