Tehran (IP) - Iran's Police arrested the robbers who ransacked the Bank Melli in Tehran, near the Tehran University.

Iran PressIran news: A group of bank robbers ransacked about 200 deposit boxes in the Bank Melli of Tehran, the Branch of Tehran University on 6 June 2022. 

The thieves ran away and scattered inside and outside the country; 10 were identified and arrested in the northern part of Iran, and 3 others were arrested in one of the neighboring countries, according to Iran's Police. 

 

 

Most of the stolen property was returned to the owners.

Large amounts of property stolen were discovered at Imam Khomeini Airport in a car provided by the thieves, and large quantities were found in Tehran.

Tehran's Prosecutor General Ali Salehi says the convicts are under investigation.
